Research School Concept

The N2L Research schools are different to usual summer schools. The foci are not only set on scientific challenges and research but as well on the participants occupational and business career through topics like presentation skills and funding sources.

There are visits to research laboratories and industry/companies. The school is interactive, requesting the participants to deliver some work  prior to the school, and take an active part also during the last two days of the school.

The NanoBioNet Cluster

People in action

Over the past few years, Saarland/Rhineland Palatinate has evolved into a centre for nano- and biotechnology and thus is now considered one of Germany's major research and economic regions. NanoBioNet have developed a far-reaching network whose activities extend far beyond the region's borders. In addition to a large number of regionally located small and medium-sized enterprises, a growing number of well-known big companies are also becoming actively involved.

In 2006, NanoBioNet became the official successor of CC-NanoBioTech, the centre of excellence, and has been continuing the work of this centre since then.
